TestCMS into the fabric of technology

Ani is 11 years old.

She was given a phone for her birthday a year ago — her parents thought it was a good idea to keep her safe. Between gaming with friends, scrolling for new trends and asking AI about her worries, being online for hours each day has become part of everyday life.

Ani’s world is changing — and her story is a real, global story.

Our audacious idea:

The digital landscapes children live and play in will be built, measured and governed for their wellbeing — not just their engagement.

The 1 billion children already online today, and the 2 billion more coming this decade, will grow up in a world where digital technologies actively support their wellbeing and help them thrive.

We already have the momentum

Over the last year we have:

Continued to build the evidence base, including the Global Ecosystem Landscaping Report and first-of-its-kind Living Systematic Review.

Defined the fund architecture, including the three-pillar investment strategy, industry engagement governance, Theory of Change, MEL framework and blended funding model.

Built a global coalition, securing $5 million in seed funding from ICONIQ and Wellcome while growing our donor pipeline to $30 million across philanthropy, industry, government and research.

Raised global visibility, by launching the ecosystem landscaping report at Davos and positioning TestCMS as a global platform for action on children’s wellbeing in the digital age.

Our 3 pillar strategy

Research, technology and scale — three pillars, one goal.

We can’t fix what we don’t understand — so we build the shared evidence base the field is missing. Technology is firmly embedded in childhood — so we back and test the tools that genuinely support children’s mental health. Then we take what works and make it the norm: embedded in policy, budgets and practice, with the Global South a priority.

What’s next? We need to get to scale, fast.

Phase 1 (2027–2029) builds the foundations and demonstrates scale. Phase 2 (2030–2031) takes proven work to national scale and embeds children’s wellbeing in the policy, standards and design decisions that shape the digital world. Beyond 2031, children’s wellbeing becomes the norm — sustained by far larger investment, keeping pace with technology.

The fabric of childhood is being rewoven right now.

Let’s make sure kids’ wellbeing is part of the pattern.
